Ann Sheppard - Ostéopathe

Ann Sheppard, an osteopath who specialises in cranial osteopathy and energy osteopathy, as well as being a physiotherapist with a special interest in manual therapy (Swiss Association of Manual Therapy, SAMT), lymphatic drainage, and the Mézières method.

After graduating from business school in Lausanne, I decided to become a physiotherapist and gained my diploma from the Vaud Cantonal School of Physiotherapy in Lausanne in 1988.My professional career started in Fribourg, where I worked in Charles Melloul’s physiotherapy practice from 1988 until 1990, followed by the Clinique La Source in Lausanne from 1991 to 1997.

The urge to experience something completely different led me to Afghanistan as a physiotherapist with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), where I integrated the management team for the orthopaedic centres of Mazar-I-Sharif and Hérat, with a side trip to Ghazni, between June 1997 and September 1998.

  • From 1999 to 2001, I temporarily gave up being a physiotherapist to be an ICRC delegate: firstly in Rwanda, where I visited prisons and supervised agricultural micro-projects, then in Myanmar as office manager.
  • At the end of 2001, I began studying osteopathy at the Libera Universita’ degli Studi di Scienze Umane eb Tecnologiche (L.U.de.S) in Lugano, gaining my diploma in 2005.
  • 2002 to 2006, I worked in Eric Duckert's physiotherapy and osteopathy practice in Aigle.
  • In January 2007, I took over the practice at Avenue Vinet 19 from Esther Schlachter
